The Tropical Hut is a full line pet store,
specializing in reptiles, amphibians,
freshwater fish, and plants.


We have one of the largest selections of reptiles and
amphibians in the Portland/Vancouver area.

We captive breed more than 10 types of reptiles and amphibians,
including Poison Dart Frogs, Veiled Chameleons,
Panther Chameleons, Bearded Dragons, Leopard Geckos,
Crested Geckos, Corn Snakes and soon to have Ball Pythons of
different morphs.
We also raise most of our feeder animals to assure quality.

Store History:
The Tropical Hut was originally opened in 1970 in a small location in
Gresham, Oregon. In 1976 the store was moved to its
current location for expansion.
In the early years the store's primary focus was fish, but in
the late 70's expanded to include birds. In the 80's we expanded to
dog and cat related goods. By the mid 90's the store
carried more reptiles.
Birds were discontinued in the late 90's, and reptiles became the main
focus.
